January 17, 2017: Listening to MLK's "I've Been To The Mountaintop" revolved well around my recent thoughts on Mierle Laderman Ukeleles, who made a mission of shaking the hand of every NYC "san man" who'd let her & whose "Manifesto for Maintenance Art" I encountered not long ago. I'm thinking about the relationship between maintenance and freedom a lot lately, as the inauguration looms and the women's march approaches - so, because she and I share the world, I wrote to her about it.
