February 11, 2019: Robert A. Caro's recent piece in The New Yorker was one of the most archivally entertaining things I've ever read. While his work's amazing, getting a peek into his methodology is wild. He addresses taking a break from his current book to write a sliver of memoir, for fear that he may die before getting further than that, displaying a generosity of spirit I consider the most important quality in a person.
