May 16, 2024: Equally worried about him doing an epic night drive alone and me dealing with a sudden rupture in his company, I joined my Big Ears buddy on the drive home to New Orleans. Louis Armstrong's "Lazy River" came on the radio, which prompted the pal to tell me I needed to listen to Armstrong's episode of "Switched on Pop." I did, immediately, and have been bingeing it since. It is inspiring thoughts of going to GRADUATE SCHOOL (for musicology), which for me is unheard of. Charlie Harding, the co-host, is just as deserving of mail, but Nate Sloan and I have friends in common, so I went the more accessible route.
