March 14, 2021: Norton Juster recently died, and, as I have since beginning the Epistolarium, I immediately experienced a pang that I'd never gotten it together to write him thanking him for The Phantom Tollbooth, one of many books that imprinted my childhood. So, I wrote to Eric Carle. As a frequent babysitter I experience regular satisfaction seeing which hits from my formative years seem to be standing the test of time. The Very Hungry Caterpillar lives on!
