April 11, 2023: Due to a combination of landing a casting gig and diving back into "Yellowjackets," I finally got it together to write to Junie Lowry-Johnson. Casting directors aren't celebrated nearly consistently or openly enough, for me. I also think it might be one of the most underheralded, creative, and entertaining ways to engage in filmmaking. My hope is she writes back responding that it was difficult to because she exists under a deluge of admiration. (Photo by Dick Lowry)
