September 30, 2020: Any snippets of decent sleep I've gotten in the past few months have been courtesy of Jon Kabat-Zinn. Two separate brilliant friends of mine led me to him, specifically his book High Catastrophe Living and the JKZ series, including a 45-minute body scan he notes should try to stay awake through, but reliably soothes me to sleep. That he's attached to two people I love helps, that he is a kindly Jewish man with a lilt to his voice I grew up surrounded by is a bonus, but, I sincerely suspect he has the capacity to help anyone.
