May 21, 2022: I went into "Everything Everywhere All At Once" knowing very little, which is how I'd recommend arriving at the theater - I'm using the poster to avoid giving away absolutely anything the directors and PR department don't consider fair game. I walked out to discover a super flower blood lunar eclipse in progress; unrecreatable, but glorious. I thought this film, quite likely one of my favorite of all time, had been written with Daniels - who I've met, worked with, adore, and am deeply rooting for - in mind to direct; I emitted a formerly unknown sound when I found out they wrote it. This is the sort of feeling that spurs fan mail - there are bonus points for all the Mardi Gras looks I'm marinating on thanks to their art department.
